For the past 35 years,
runners have taken to the streets of
Charlotte's Historical Dilworth Community
for the Dilworth Jubilee 8K. Held in
conjunction with the Dilworth Jubilee
Festival, which showcases Charlotte's
Dilworth Community, the Dilworth Jubilee 8K
is Charlotte's Oldest Road Race.
Over it’s 35 year history the race has
played host to some of the Nation’s fastest
distance runners, including Olympians Craig
Virgin and Joan Nesbit.
Race Start Time: 8:00am
Location: Registration & Packet Pickup -
Latta Park Pavilion on E. Park Ave. Race
Starts on Berkeley Ave.
Entry Fee is $20 before 8/8/2008, $25 on
Race Day and does not guarantee a Technical
Running Race T-shirt.
The Course
The course starts and finishes in close
proximity to Dilworth Elementary School near
School near Latta Park. Participants will
enjoy a scenic and rolling course through
one of Charlotte's most beautiful and
historic neighborhoods.
Water will be available at stops positioned
at 2 and 4 miles.
Portable restrooms will be stationed at the
Start/Finish line area. Restrooms will also
be available at the Dilworth Community
Center.

This race will be a Hand Timed Event. You
Will Not need to pick up a timing chip prior
to the race.
Runner Awards
Awards will be presented to the top 3
Overall Male and Female finishers, and top 2
Overall Masters (40+) Male and Female. Age
Group awards will be given to the Top 3 Male
and Female finishers in the following
categories: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24,
25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54,
55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over.

Runners will have the opportunity to shoot
for the Charlotte Running Company Course
Record Challenge! $500 will be award to the
Male or Female who can break the respective
Dilworth Jubilee 8K Course Record.

Participants can register one of three ways:
1. By registering on-line at

2. By mailing registration forms, along with
check or money order to: Dilworth Jubilee
8k, c/o Charlotte Running Co., 1412 East
Blvd., Ste. G, Charlotte, NC 28203
(postmarked by August 2nd).
3. By registering in person at either
location of the Charlotte Running Company
Extra registration forms will be sent out by
sending a self addressed stamped envelope
to: Dilworth Jubilee 8k, c/o Charlotte
Running Co. 1412-G East Blvd., Charlotte, NC
28203. Copies of the registration form will
be accepted provided that they are legible.
Packet Pick-Up will take place at the
Charlotte Running Company, 1412-G East Blvd.
at the following times:
- Friday: August 8th - 10am to 7pm
- Saturday: August 9th - 6 to 7:30am - At
the Pavilion at Latta Park in Dilworth.
