RunNC Full & Half Marathon Kick Off Meeting

Fall Marathon & Half Marathon Training Group

Training Dates: July 14 – November 15
(Early start for Chicago Marathon participants on June 9)
Kickoff Meeting: July 13, 5:30 PM at CRC Promenade

Join us as we kick off our 18-week training program for the Charlotte, Chicago, or any fall marathon or half. Designed for runners of all levels, we offer three plan options to match your weekly mileage goals (4, 5, or 6 days per week). Whether you’re going for your first finish or a sub-3 marathon, you’ll get the structure, support, and community to help you succeed.

What’s Included:

  • 18-week training plan for Marathon or Half

  • 3 schedule options: 4, 5, or 6 runs/week

  • Weekly group meetups across Charlotte

  • Rotating Saturday long runs with coolers on course

  • Experienced coaching team + 16 pacers

Weekly Meetups Overview:

  • Tuesdays: Track workouts AM (Promenade or AG Middle) or PM (OpenTap Run Club)

  • Thursdays: AM runs from CRC Dilworth & NYC Bagel (Carmel Rd), PM options TBD

  • Saturdays: Rotating long runs at CRC Dilworth, CRC Promenade (Pancake Run), and Little Sugar Creek Greenway

  • Sundays (6-day plan only): Recovery runs at McMullen Creek Greenway

Mondays & Wednesdays are on your own or rest days. Fridays are optional/recovery.

Meet Your Coaches:

  • Deb Rubinich – 40+ years of coaching experience, Boston Marathoner, Ultra Runner

  • Paul Martino – Data-driven coach, Boston Marathoner, Let Me Run alum

  • Justin King – 2:28 marathoner, ultra winner, leading our sub-3 hour group

  • Matt Elliott – RRCA Certified Coach with 17+ years experience & nearly 1,000 athletes coached

Plus a team of 16+ pacers covering everything from sub-8 to run/walk pace.
